Product Traceability from Materials to Dispatch

Traceability connects supplied fittings with the records behind their production. JKTE links incoming material control, manufacturing checks and final inspection so that a batch can be reviewed when a customer needs technical or after-sales support.

Incoming material identification

Material grade, supplier information and receipt records form the starting point. Inspection checks are selected for the material and product: for example, dimensions, condition or supporting material documentation. Approved material is then released for the relevant manufacturing operation.

Records through production

Drawing revisions, work instructions and inspection results help keep molding, casting, machining and assembly aligned. If a deviation is found, affected parts can be identified and reviewed before they move to the next stage.

Batch marking and shipment records

Product or packaging identification provides a reference between the goods and the associated records. The required code format and marking location should be agreed before production. Final inspection and packing information then support shipment identification.

Documents to agree before ordering

  • Approved drawing and revision reference.
  • Material identification or reports required by the specification.
  • Inspection plan, acceptance limits and report format.
  • Product or carton batch marking requirements.
  • Any customer witness or third-party inspection arrangements.

Using traceability for after-sales support

Keep the packaging label and batch reference with your receiving records. If a problem occurs, these details help the team identify the relevant production information and assess the affected quantity more efficiently.
