Research & Design for Cable Fittings
JKTE develops cable fittings around the installation task: holding, supporting or connecting the specified cable and hardware. Product development brings together application requirements, material selection, tooling and validation.

Define the engineering requirements
Start with cable or conductor data, design loads, mounting geometry and environmental conditions. Installation access and the required assembly method also influence the design. The project specification provides the acceptance criteria for review.
Design and prototype review
Drawings define critical dimensions, interfaces and materials. Prototype or trial parts allow the team to inspect assembly fit and identify manufacturing issues. Feedback is recorded as a controlled revision rather than an informal change on the production line.
Validate the relevant performance
The test plan should reflect the function of the product. Mechanical tests, environmental exposure or electrical checks are selected where applicable. Results are assessed against the agreed criteria before the design is approved for production.
Develop with a clear project scope
- Provide the application and required performance.
- Agree responsibilities for drawings, tooling and samples.
- Set approval milestones and required documentation.
- Review confidentiality and ownership before sharing restricted design information.
Maintain a repeatable specification
The approved drawing, material and inspection requirements form the reference for manufacturing. Any later design change should be reviewed for its effect on compatibility and performance.
