Incoming Raw Material Quality Control

Incoming material control checks that supplied materials match the purchase and product specifications before production. JKTE applies material-specific checks to metals, polymers and other components used in cable fittings and power accessories.

Identification and documentation

Receipt information should identify the supplier, material grade and batch where applicable. Supporting reports are reviewed against the order requirements. A management-system certificate is not a substitute for the material specification or a relevant test report.

Checks by material type

  • Metal sheet and profiles: dimensions, thickness, surface condition and specified grade.
  • Casting alloys: material identification and agreed supporting evidence.
  • Engineering polymers: grade, batch, condition and processing requirements.
  • Sealing parts and purchased components: size, appearance and compatibility requirements.

Inspection and release

The inspection plan defines the sampling and tests needed for the material. Suspect or nonconforming material is identified for review rather than released without a decision. Approved records provide a reference for later production and traceability.

Project-specific material requirements

Tell us if the order requires a particular grade, restricted-substance documentation or independent verification. Agree these requirements before procurement so the required records can be linked to the supplied material.
