Drop cable anchoring and support products

Choose by cable shape, dimensions and the member designed to carry tension. Product images help identify the design; the model specification determines compatibility.

How to choose a drop cable fitting

Flat, round and figure-8 cables need different gripping arrangements. A clamp should retain the intended cable member without applying an unsuitable load to the optical fiber. Check both the clamp and the mounting point before installation.

  • Provide the cable width and height for flat cable, or outside diameter for round cable.
  • For figure-8 cable, identify the messenger dimensions and construction.
  • Confirm whether you need a dead-end anchor or an intermediate support.
  • Share the span, required load and pole or wall attachment details.
  • Check the selected model’s installation method against the cable manufacturer’s instructions.

Common applications

Typical uses include pole-to-building drops, short aerial distribution runs and final subscriber connections. Anchoring fittings secure designed termination points, while suspension fittings support the cable route. The choice depends on cable construction and local project requirements.
