Figure-8 Cable Anchoring Clamp PA-04
The PA-04 anchors and tensions steel-messenger figure-8 fibre optic cables on outdoor aerial telecommunications lines.
Features
- Installation requires no additional tools
- Self-adjusting zinc wedge for secure gripping
- UV-resistant thermoplastic construction with a stainless steel bail
- Wire bail attaches to compatible pole hooks or brackets
- Designed to resist slipping and protect cable insulation
- Stable performance in outdoor conditions
- Cost-effective cable anchoring
Application
Use the PA-04 at dead-end poles, line terminations and branching points in FTTH, FTTB and FTTX networks. It holds figure-8 cables securely while protecting the steel messenger from damage. Applications include urban, suburban and rural aerial fibre installations.

Ultimate tensile strength testing evaluates a product’s capacity to withstand mechanical pulling loads. Opposing tensile forces are applied to a specimen until it deforms or fails. The resulting measurements provide information on elongation, yield point, tensile strength and ultimate strength.
Tensile testing is used to assess pole-line suspension clamps, preformed guy grips, ADSS dead-end fittings, stainless steel bands, FTTH drop clamps and tension clamps.
For overhead optical cables and their accessories, endurance testing combines mechanical and thermal loading with oscillating stresses. The applicable test values depend on the requirements of IEC 61284.
Such tests can be conducted before product release and during routine production to assess conformity with the applicable quality requirements.
