In-Process Quality Control

In-process inspection checks components before defects move into the next operation. JKTE combines workshop checks and QC review for molded, cast, stamped, machined and partially assembled cable hardware.

Inspection points by process

  • Die casting: casting condition, critical dimensions and features specified for review.
  • Stamping: hole position, bend angle, flatness and edge condition.
  • Injection molding: short shots, cracks, shrinkage, appearance and fit dimensions.
  • Machining: dimensions, tolerances, burrs and mating surfaces.
  • Marking and pre-assembly: correct identification, parts and orientation.

Use the approved drawing

Checks should reference the current drawing and inspection criteria. New or modified products may need additional first-part checks or sampling during production, depending on the agreed inspection plan.

Control nonconforming parts

If a deviation is found, affected parts are identified and reviewed. Rework must be checked before release. Recording the result helps the team understand whether a process setting, tool or material needs further attention.

Link process checks to final inspection

Component inspection supports, but does not replace, testing of the complete fitting. Final acceptance must consider the assembled product and its intended cable or conductor application.
