All-Plastic FTTH Drop Cable Anchor PA-0160
The PA-0160 FTTH fiber cable clamp is an all-plastic anchoring device for holding and managing fiber optic cables. A main body, adjustable wedge and handle work together to fasten insulated figure-8 cable to a pole or wall.
Features
- Entirely plastic body construction
- Installs without tools
- Fits figure-8 cables with diameters of 3–5 mm
- UV-resistant polymer supports prolonged outdoor use
- Resists mechanical pulling loads, with a 0.5 or 1 kN option depending on the requested version
- Stable performance in outdoor environments
- Supplied directly by the factory
Application
The PA-0160 is used in outdoor FTTH and FTTx installations to anchor figure-8 fiber drop cables with diameters of 3–5 mm. It attaches to telecommunications poles, wall brackets, hooks and similar supports, holding the cable in place and relieving strain at the attachment point.
For last-mile access networks, the clamp supports cable runs linking utility poles with homes, commercial premises, industrial buildings and campus communications infrastructure. It retains the cable under wind loading, line tension and environmental stress while helping to protect the outer jacket during service.
Its UV-resistant polymer construction is intended for prolonged outdoor exposure to sunlight, moisture, rainfall and changing temperatures. The lightweight design can be fitted without tools, helping installers complete work quickly and control deployment costs in urban and rural broadband projects.

Ultimate Tensile Strength (UTS) testing, also described as maximum mechanical tensile testing, evaluates how well a product withstands tensile loading.
During the test, opposing pulling forces are applied until the specimen deforms or breaks. Measurements can provide information on elongation, yield behavior, tensile strength and ultimate load capacity.
JKTE performs this testing on the following product groups:
- Suspension clamps for pole installations
- Preformed cable grips
- ADSS strain and dead-end fittings
- Stainless steel straps and banding
- FTTH drop cable clamps and suspension fittings
- Anchoring and tension clamps
Under IEC 61284, overhead optical cables and associated fittings are subjected to endurance testing involving mechanical loading, temperature-related stresses and oscillation. Test conditions are selected to match the applicable requirements.
These standard tests are carried out before new products are introduced and during regular production to verify conformity with quality requirements. Our internal laboratory has the equipment needed to carry out this range of type tests in accordance with the relevant standards.
