Wide-Range ADSS Cable Tension Anchor JKT

Wide-Range ADSS Cable Tension Anchor JKT

The JKT aerial tension clamp anchors and tensions round ADSS cables at intermediate locations and along down-lead routes in outdoor telecommunications installations.

Features

  • Fitted without additional tools
  • Self-adjusting wedges protect the cable sheath during use
  • Durable UV-resistant plastic and galvanized steel construction
  • Straightforward attachment to brackets and hooks
  • Stable outdoor performance
  • Economically priced

Application

The JKT tension clamp anchors ADSS cables with diameters of 4–14 mm in outdoor overhead telecommunications networks. This broad cable range supports FTTH, FTTx, GPON, CATV, metropolitan access and backbone fiber installations.

The fitting is installed on utility poles and other supports at terminal and intermediate locations to maintain cable tension across different span arrangements. Its construction limits cable movement caused by wind-induced vibration, ice and environmental loading, supporting stable service with lower maintenance requirements.

Ultimate tensile strength testing evaluates a product’s capacity to withstand mechanical pulling loads. Opposing tensile forces are applied to a specimen until it deforms or fails. The resulting measurements provide information on elongation, yield point, tensile strength and ultimate strength.

JKTE uses tensile testing for pole-line suspension clamps, preformed guy grips, ADSS dead-end fittings, stainless steel bands, FTTH drop clamps and tension clamps.

For overhead optical cables and their accessories, endurance testing combines mechanical and thermal loading with oscillating stresses. The applicable test values depend on the requirements of IEC 61284.

These standard-based tests are applied before new products are released and during routine production to check conformity with quality requirements. JKTE’s in-house laboratory carries out the relevant series of type tests.
