Application

The PA-420 drop clamp dead-ends round FTTH cables with diameters of 4–8 mm. The specified span range is 30–70 m and the minimum breaking load is 2 kN. The conical, self-adjusting wedge system grips the cable without bending it during fitting or damaging its sheath. An opening bail facilitates attachment to crossarms and pole brackets.

The clamp forms part of the cable fixing assembly together with the cable, supporting frame and pole. Internal grooves or textured surfaces increase friction to help prevent loosening or detachment. Length options depend on customer requirements.

The insulating plastic housing provides UV resistance and protection from outdoor exposure. Its insulating function helps avoid electrical contact with adjacent components where relevant to the installation.

Typical mounting points include telecommunications poles, wall brackets and supporting fittings in residential developments, apartment buildings, commercial premises and rural broadband networks. Weather-resistant thermoplastic supports outdoor durability, while tool-free fitting reduces installation time and labor costs for FTTH rollout and last-mile access projects.
