FTTH Cable Support Clamp D7M / PS-M
The D7M / PS-M suspension clamp, also known as the PSR FO D58, holds round or flat optical drop cables on poles and cross-arms during outdoor aerial FTTx installation.
Features
- Rapid fitting by hand, without additional tools
- Accepts both round and flat optical drop cables
- Durable thermoplastic with resistance to UV exposure
- Mounts with 12.7 × 0.7 mm stainless steel bands or pole bolts below 7 mm in diameter
- Compatible with cross-arms and pigtail hooks
- Strong, stable mechanical support
- Economical purchase cost
Application
The clamp supports drop cables at intermediate poles, maintaining the intended route while limiting excessive bending and mechanical strain. It can be secured using stainless steel bands, pole bolts, pigtail hooks or cross-arm brackets.
Applications include residential access networks, commercial premises, campus connections and rural broadband infrastructure. The compact, UV-resistant thermoplastic body supports the cable without harming its jacket. Tool-free fitting helps reduce installation time and labor requirements.

Ultimate tensile strength testing evaluates a product’s capacity to withstand mechanical pulling loads. Opposing tensile forces are applied to a specimen until it deforms or fails. The resulting measurements provide information on elongation, yield point, tensile strength and ultimate strength.
Tensile testing is used to assess pole-line suspension clamps, preformed guy grips, ADSS dead-end fittings, stainless steel bands, FTTH drop clamps and tension clamps.
For overhead optical cables and their accessories, endurance testing combines mechanical and thermal loading with oscillating stresses. The applicable test values depend on the requirements of IEC 61284.
Such tests can be conducted before product release and during routine production to assess conformity with the applicable quality requirements.
