Figure-8 Optical Cable Anchor Clamp PA-06

Figure-8 Optical Cable Anchor Clamp PA-06

Designed for outdoor FTTX networks, the PA-06 anchors and tensions figure-8 fibre optic cables that incorporate a steel messenger.

Features

  • Automatically adjusting zinc wedge
  • Fitted without additional installation tools
  • UV-resistant thermoplastic, aluminium alloy and stainless steel construction
  • Mechanical strength rating of 5 kN
  • Stable operation under outdoor environmental exposure
  • Cost-effective design

Application

The PA-06 anchors figure-8 optical cables on aerial telecommunications routes, including pole lines, building façades and industrial structures. It grips the cable securely while limiting stress on the messenger. Typical uses include FTTH last-mile links, fibre distribution networks and broadband communications systems.

Ultimate tensile strength testing evaluates a product’s capacity to withstand mechanical pulling loads. Opposing tensile forces are applied to a specimen until it deforms or fails. The resulting measurements provide information on elongation, yield point, tensile strength and ultimate strength.

Tensile testing is used to assess pole-line suspension clamps, preformed guy grips, ADSS dead-end fittings, stainless steel bands, FTTH drop clamps and tension clamps.

For overhead optical cables and their accessories, endurance testing combines mechanical and thermal loading with oscillating stresses. The applicable test values depend on the requirements of IEC 61284.

Such tests can be conducted before product release and during routine production to assess conformity with the applicable quality requirements.
