Figure-8 Drop Cable Anchoring Clamp PA-020X

Figure-8 Drop Cable Anchoring Clamp PA-020X

The PA-020X tensions and anchors figure-8 fibre optic cables with steel or aluminium-alloy messengers during outdoor FTTX network installation.

Features

  • Self-adjusting zinc wedge
  • Quick fitting without extra tools
  • Durable aluminium-alloy and stainless-steel components
  • Designed to prevent cable-jacket damage and slippage
  • Mechanical strength rating of 16 kN
  • Reliable performance in outdoor conditions
  • Competitive cost

Application

The PA-020X is used to anchor figure-8 drop cables in FTTH subscriber connections. Installed on poles or walls between distribution boxes and customer premises, it provides secure retention with straightforward fitting. It is intended to maintain cable holding under wind, vibration and temperature changes in residential, commercial and small-business fibre access networks.

Ultimate tensile strength testing evaluates a product’s capacity to withstand mechanical pulling loads. Opposing tensile forces are applied to a specimen until it deforms or fails. The resulting measurements provide information on elongation, yield point, tensile strength and ultimate strength.

Tensile testing is used to assess pole-line suspension clamps, preformed guy grips, ADSS dead-end fittings, stainless steel bands, FTTH drop clamps and tension clamps.

For overhead optical cables and their accessories, endurance testing combines mechanical and thermal loading with oscillating stresses. The applicable test values depend on the requirements of IEC 61284.

Such tests can be conducted before product release and during routine production to assess conformity with the applicable quality requirements.
