Figure-8 Cable Dead-End Clamp PA-06X320

Figure-8 Cable Dead-End Clamp PA-06X320

The PA-06X320 is an aluminium anchoring clamp for tensioning and securing steel-messenger fibre optic cables in outdoor FTTX networks.

Features

  • Wedge automatically adjusts for cable retention
  • No extra tools required for fitting
  • Durable aluminium-alloy and stainless-steel construction
  • Designed to avoid cable-sheath damage and slipping during installation
  • High mechanical strength
  • Dependable outdoor performance
  • Economical purchase cost

Application

The PA-06X320 anchors figure-8 fibre optic cables on medium- and long-span aerial routes. It is intended for dead ends and changes in line direction where substantial mechanical loads occur. Its robust construction supports lasting retention while protecting cable integrity. Applications include telecommunications backbone and access networks, as well as rural broadband infrastructure.

Ultimate tensile strength testing evaluates a product’s capacity to withstand mechanical pulling loads. Opposing tensile forces are applied to a specimen until it deforms or fails. The resulting measurements provide information on elongation, yield point, tensile strength and ultimate strength.

Tensile testing is used to assess pole-line suspension clamps, preformed guy grips, ADSS dead-end fittings, stainless steel bands, FTTH drop clamps and tension clamps.

For overhead optical cables and their accessories, endurance testing combines mechanical and thermal loading with oscillating stresses. The applicable test values depend on the requirements of IEC 61284.

Such tests can be conducted before product release and during routine production to assess conformity with the applicable quality requirements.
