Figure-8 Cable Tension Clamp PA-06X320-BD

Figure-8 Cable Tension Clamp PA-06X320-BD

The PA-06X320-BD anchors steel-messenger figure-8 cables on FTTH lines. Compared with similar clamps, it uses a larger sliding wedge with specially shaped teeth to grip the cable without damaging its sheath.

Features

  • Self-adjusting sliding wedge enables tool-free fitting
  • Aluminium-alloy and stainless-steel parts for durable service
  • Designed to prevent sheath damage and cable slippage in use
  • High tensile load capacity
  • Stable performance outdoors
  • Cost-effective anchoring

Application

The PA-06X320-BD secures figure-8 cables with steel messengers in demanding outdoor conditions. It provides holding strength for aerial fibre lines while limiting excessive mechanical stress on the cable. Suitable uses include FTTH, FTTB and FTTX installations on wooden, steel or concrete poles in urban and rural telecommunications networks.

Ultimate tensile strength testing evaluates a product’s capacity to withstand mechanical pulling loads. Opposing tensile forces are applied to a specimen until it deforms or fails. The resulting measurements provide information on elongation, yield point, tensile strength and ultimate strength.

Tensile testing is used to assess pole-line suspension clamps, preformed guy grips, ADSS dead-end fittings, stainless steel bands, FTTH drop clamps and tension clamps.

For overhead optical cables and their accessories, endurance testing combines mechanical and thermal loading with oscillating stresses. The applicable test values depend on the requirements of IEC 61284.

Such tests can be conducted before product release and during routine production to assess conformity with the applicable quality requirements.
