Self-Adjusting Fiber Drop Cable Clamp ODWAC-13H
ODWAC-13H is a self-adjusting tension clamp that retains flat or round fibre optic drop cables on outdoor aerial FTTx routes.
Features
- Quick hand installation without extra tools
- Suitable for round and flat drop-cable designs
- Stainless steel and UV-resistant plastic components
- Removable assembly helps protect the cable jacket
- Embossed shim perforations are specified to improve cable-contact friction by 20%
- Open bail fits closed draw hooks and mounting brackets
- Specified span range: 30–50 m; breaking load depends on the cable
- Cost-effective construction for dependable outdoor retention
Application
ODWAC-13H secures drop cables at dead-end or intermediate positions along aerial distribution routes. It is used in FTTH deployments, broadband access networks and telecommunications infrastructure serving both dense urban areas and rural expansion projects.
Its textured gripping assembly resists cable slippage and maintains mechanical tension while reducing the risk of sheath damage from wind-induced movement, vibration and environmental exposure. The clamp supports 3–6 mm round cable; flat-cable limits are retained in the specification table.
| Product code | Round cable diameter, mm | Flat cable size (h×w), mm | Material | MBL,KN |

General test method
Ultimate tensile testing measures the load a component can sustain under mechanical tension. Opposing pulling forces are applied until the specimen deforms or fractures. Measurements can include elongation, yield point, tensile strength and ultimate strength.
This method is used for pole-line suspension clamps, preformed guy grips, ADSS dead-end fittings, stainless steel banding, FTTH drop clamps and strain clamps. Endurance testing may combine tensile loading with thermal and oscillating stresses; applicable conditions are selected with reference to IEC 61284 for overhead-line fittings. Such tests can support product qualification and routine production quality control. This description explains the test method; it is not a model-specific test report.
