S-Hook Optical Drop Cable Clamp D1.1
D1.1 tensions and supports flat or round optical drop cables at dead ends and intermediate points, for outdoor spans up to 50 m.
Features
- S-hook attachment with a self-seating wedge
- Cable slack adjusts easily to achieve the required tension
- UV-resistant polymer paired with galvanized steel
- Quick installation for telecommunications routes
- Durable weather resistance
- Economical long-term support
Application
This lightweight clamp anchors cables between poles and customer premises and on building facades. It combines a weather-resistant polymer body with mechanical retention for last-mile broadband links. The specification covers round cables from 2 to 5 mm and flat 2 × 3 mm cables, with a 0.5 kN minimum breaking load.

General test method
Ultimate tensile testing determines how much mechanical tension a component can withstand. Opposing pulling forces are increased until the specimen deforms or fails. Recorded properties can include elongation, yield point and ultimate tensile strength.
This method applies to cable suspension and tension fittings, preformed grips, ADSS dead ends, stainless steel banding and FTTH drop clamps. Endurance programmes may combine tensile loading, temperature changes and oscillating stresses under conditions selected with reference to IEC 61284. Such evaluation supports product qualification and production quality control. This is a description of a test method, not evidence of completed testing for an individual JKTE model.
