S-Hook Drop Cable Wedge Retainer D1.0

D1.0 tensions optical drop cables or telephone wires at terminal points in last-mile access networks.

Features

  • Quick installation without specialist tools
  • S-hook attachment with wedge locking
  • Adjustable cable slack for correct tension
  • UV-resistant polymer and galvanized steel construction
  • Durable outdoor retention
  • Economical design

Application

This clamp supports and anchors subscriber drop cables on poles and building facades. The technical table covers flat 2.0 × 3.0 / 2.0 × 5.0 mm and round 2.0–5.0 mm cables, with a 0.5 kN minimum breaking load. The stated span range is 30–50 m. It is intended for outdoor fiber access projects undertaken by operators and installers.

General test method

Ultimate tensile testing determines how much mechanical tension a component can withstand. Opposing pulling forces are increased until the specimen deforms or fails. Recorded properties can include elongation, yield point and ultimate tensile strength.

This method applies to cable suspension and tension fittings, preformed grips, ADSS dead ends, stainless steel banding and FTTH drop clamps. Endurance programmes may combine tensile loading, temperature changes and oscillating stresses under conditions selected with reference to IEC 61284. Such evaluation supports product qualification and production quality control. This is a description of a test method, not evidence of completed testing for an individual JKTE model.
