Large-Diameter ADSS Wedge Anchor PA-2002

Large-Diameter ADSS Wedge Anchor PA-2002

The PA-2002 tension clamp attaches ADSS optical cables to overhead poles and brackets. It is intended for cable spans of up to 100 meters.

Features

  • Fitted without installation tools
  • Wedges adjust automatically to the cable
  • Stainless steel attachment bail
  • Grip protects the cable jacket
  • Opening bail permits rapid attachment
  • Design helps prevent accidental detachment
  • Stable performance in outdoor conditions
  • Extended body helps limit optical attenuation associated with cable clamping

Application

The PA-2002 clamp anchors and tensions overhead ADSS cables with diameters of 14–18 mm. The specified maximum span is 100 m.

It mounts on telecommunications poles and brackets for outdoor cable routes, including links between buildings and industrial structures. The fitting holds the cable securely while protecting it at the anchoring point.

Ultimate tensile strength testing evaluates a product’s capacity to withstand mechanical pulling loads. Opposing tensile forces are applied to a specimen until it deforms or fails. The resulting measurements provide information on elongation, yield point, tensile strength and ultimate strength.

JKTE uses tensile testing for pole-line suspension clamps, preformed guy grips, ADSS dead-end fittings, stainless steel bands, FTTH drop clamps and tension clamps.

For overhead optical cables and their accessories, endurance testing combines mechanical and thermal loading with oscillating stresses. The applicable test values depend on the requirements of IEC 61284.

These standard-based tests are applied before new products are released and during routine production to check conformity with quality requirements. JKTE’s in-house laboratory carries out the relevant series of type tests.
