ADSS Optical Cable Wedge Tensioner PA-602
The PA-602 wedge anchor clamp tensions all-dielectric self-supporting (ADSS) optical cables with an outside diameter of 10–14 mm during outdoor aerial FTTx deployment.
Features
- Straightforward installation without specialist skills
- UV-resistant polymer and stainless steel construction
- Self-adjusting wedges retain the cable under tension
- Accommodates ADSS optical cable diameters of 10–14 mm
- Mechanical tensile strength of up to 3 kN
- Consistent performance over extended service
- Stable performance in outdoor environments
- Economically priced
Application
The PA-602 wedge clamp anchors 10–14 mm ADSS cables on outdoor overhead communications routes. Applications include medium-span lines, access networks and rural broadband infrastructure.
Automatically adjusting wedges retain the cable securely without damaging the insulating sheath, helping preserve transmission quality and reduce maintenance needs.
Weather-resistant polymer and stainless steel withstand sunlight, rain and changing temperatures. The compact design can be installed without tools, supporting rapid deployment and lower installation costs.

Ultimate tensile strength testing evaluates a product’s capacity to withstand mechanical pulling loads. Opposing tensile forces are applied to a specimen until it deforms or fails. The resulting measurements provide information on elongation, yield point, tensile strength and ultimate strength.
JKTE uses tensile testing for pole-line suspension clamps, preformed guy grips, ADSS dead-end fittings, stainless steel bands, FTTH drop clamps and tension clamps.
For overhead optical cables and their accessories, endurance testing combines mechanical and thermal loading with oscillating stresses. The applicable test values depend on the requirements of IEC 61284.
These standard-based tests are applied before new products are released and during routine production to check conformity with quality requirements. JKTE’s in-house laboratory carries out the relevant series of type tests.
