Aerial Optical Cable Support Clamp PS-D12
The PS-D12, also called the D12 mobile suspension clamp, supports round aerial cables at intermediate poles in FTTH distribution networks.
Features
- Special grip pattern for figure-8 cable messengers
- One-piece configuration
- Materials selected for corrosion resistance
- Resistance to UV exposure, temperature variation and humidity
- Stable performance under environmental exposure
- Protects the cable jacket or insulated messenger
Application
The PS-D12 provides cable retention on aerial distribution and transmission communications routes while limiting excessive compression of the jacket. Its specified round-cable range is 13–16 mm.
Applications include ADSS cable suspension, power-utility communications, FTTH feeder construction, telecommunications backbones, utility fiber installations and smart-grid communications infrastructure.

Ultimate tensile strength testing evaluates a product’s capacity to withstand mechanical pulling loads. Opposing tensile forces are applied to a specimen until it deforms or fails. The resulting measurements provide information on elongation, yield point, tensile strength and ultimate strength.
Tensile testing is used to assess pole-line suspension clamps, preformed guy grips, ADSS dead-end fittings, stainless steel bands, FTTH drop clamps and tension clamps.
For overhead optical cables and their accessories, endurance testing combines mechanical and thermal loading with oscillating stresses. The applicable test values depend on the requirements of IEC 61284.
Such tests can be conducted before product release and during routine production to assess conformity with the applicable quality requirements.
