Aerial Drop Cable Support Clamp PS-D6
The PS-D6, also referred to as the D6 aerial drop clamp, provides support or tensioning for ADSS optical cables and FTTH drop cables in FTTx networks.
Features
- Fitting requires no additional tools
- Plastic loop incorporates an anti-drop arrangement
- Suitable for ADSS and FTTH cable applications
- Supports the cable without damaging its jacket
- Stable performance in outdoor conditions
- Cost-effective cable support
Application
The PS-D6 suspends round FTTH cables and ADSS drop cables of 4–8 mm diameter at intermediate points on overhead fiber routes. Typical uses include FTTH access, GPON deployment and subscriber connections.
It fits telecommunications poles, wall brackets and hooks in residential, commercial and industrial settings. Its anti-drop arrangement and smooth contact surfaces help protect the sheath from abrasion and deformation while limiting the effects of wind and vibration. UV-resistant construction supports prolonged outdoor use, and installation can be completed without specialist tools.

Ultimate tensile strength testing evaluates a product’s capacity to withstand mechanical pulling loads. Opposing tensile forces are applied to a specimen until it deforms or fails. The resulting measurements provide information on elongation, yield point, tensile strength and ultimate strength.
Tensile testing is used to assess pole-line suspension clamps, preformed guy grips, ADSS dead-end fittings, stainless steel bands, FTTH drop clamps and tension clamps.
For overhead optical cables and their accessories, endurance testing combines mechanical and thermal loading with oscillating stresses. The applicable test values depend on the requirements of IEC 61284.
Such tests can be conducted before product release and during routine production to assess conformity with the applicable quality requirements.
