High-Load Flat Drop Cable Clamp ODWAC-16
ODWAC-16 tensions and supports optical or telephone drop cables along terminal and intermediate FTTH/FTTx routes.
Features
- Tool-free hand assembly
- High mechanical holding strength
- Removable clamp protects the cable sheath
- Stainless steel construction resists corrosion
- Durable outdoor performance
- Economical installation
Application
Use this clamp between distribution poles and subscriber premises to maintain cable tension and routing. It accepts flat cables below 6 mm high and 16 mm wide; the stated minimum breaking load is 2 kN and span range is 30–50 m. Applications include broadband access, fiber-to-the-home links and outdoor telecommunications infrastructure.

General test method
Ultimate tensile testing determines how much mechanical tension a component can withstand. Opposing pulling forces are increased until the specimen deforms or fails. Recorded properties can include elongation, yield point and ultimate tensile strength.
This method applies to cable suspension and tension fittings, preformed grips, ADSS dead ends, stainless steel banding and FTTH drop clamps. Endurance programmes may combine tensile loading, temperature changes and oscillating stresses under conditions selected with reference to IEC 61284. Such evaluation supports product qualification and production quality control. This is a description of a test method, not evidence of completed testing for an individual JKTE model.
